What’s the worst injury your phone ever suffered?

In our recent giveaway of the Nexus 4, we asked entrants:

“What’s the worst injury your phone ever suffered?”

10. “Falling into a sewage tank.”

9. “Set fire to it, testing to see if the side was made of metal.”

6. “I put it in the oven to dry out after it took a shower… it actually melted.”

2. “My phone saved my life once. A nail from a nail gun ricocheted, and would have pierced my heart. If I hadn’t had it in my chest pocket I’d be dead right now – instead the phone took the majority of the damage.”

1. “Fell down the loo in the pub, but I didn’t notice until after I flushed. It got stuck in the U-bend, and after a few too many drinks I decided (as plumber of the year) to remove the U-bend and retrieve the phone. I got it out, but the bathroom flooded. I left the bathroom soaking wet, with the phone held aloft like a trophy to show my other half. I slipped on the step down to the bar, dropped the phone on the tiled floor and ended up with a smashed screen too.”
