CableJive dockBoss+ connects the iPhone 5 to 30 pin speaker docks

A few weeks back we had a look at a really useful iPhone 5 accessory, the CableJive dockBoss. It connected the iPhone 5 to older Apple speaker docks, converting the 3.5 mm headphone jack of the iPhone 5 to the old 30 pin format. This week, we’re looking at something even better: The CableJive dockBoss+.

The dockBoss+ is similar to the dockBoss in operation, but includes one major new feature: it’s now an iPhone 5 charger! That’s right, as well as allowing your music to come out of your old 30 pin enabled speaker, the dockBoss+ will also use the 30 pin’s power supply to charge your iPhone 5.

Just connect your Lightning USB cable to the dockBoss+ and you’ll be charging in no time. The USB connection also supports digital audio, so you also gain compatibility with a wide range of new devices, too.

The dockBoss+ is a long cable, too. It’s 2.5 feet in total, making it perfect for controlling your music without having to get up and stand by the iPhone 5 dock.

The dockBoss+ is a clever solution to a problem that dogs every iPhone 5 owner with older iPhone accessories, so if that describes you then we’d definitely recommend that you pick it up. The dockBoss+ is available from Mobile Fun right now via the product page linked below:
