The 10 foot long MHL cable by Kanex

MHL cables are brilliant – they let you keep your phone charged while they are outputting HD video and audio to your TV or stereo. But often they’re a bit too short – they work well when you’re sitting right in front of your monitor, but if you want to sit on the couch and play Angry Birds or watch The Matrix on your HDTV, then a longer cable can make things a lot more comfortable.

Kanex have produced the answer: a 10 foot MHL cable that works with a lot of the most recent Android phones on the market out of the box – except the Samsung Galaxy S3. Of course, you could buy a Galaxy S3 adapter tip to add that compatibility back in.

The Kanex MHL cable looks as simple to use as every other MHL cable on the market – just plug in an HDMI cable between the adapter and any HDMI-capable HDTV, monitor or projector and a microUSB cable to provide power.

I think that’s about it – if you’ve got any questions, let me know! Thanks for reading and have a good one.
