Mobile Fun shortlisted for international award
Mobile Fun has been shortlisted for Insider’s International Trade Awards.
The business is one of the finalists in the Consumer section of the awards, with the winners set to be announced at a prestigious dinner at the National Motorcycle Museum on July 12.
Twenty seven companies, colleges and quangos from across the region are set to battle it out at the black tie event, created to celebrate and encourage the Midlands’ drive for exporting excellence and achievements in attracting inward investment.
“We received some very strong entries such as Mobile Fun for these awards, which goes to show how seriously overseas trade is now being taken,” says Kurt Jacobs, editor at Midlands Business Insider.
“With economic growth in emerging markets far outstripping those closer to home, our shortlisted companies are stealing a march on their competitors by seeking international business opportunities.”
The black tie event will hear from two of the country’s most important people in international trade – Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, founder of the Warwickshire Manufacturing Group and widely regarded as the negotiator who secured Jaguar Land Rover’s future by getting Tata to invest in the carmaker, and Crispin Simon, managing director of UKTI’s Trade Development Group.
