Nokia 808 PureView
Who says the cameraphone is dead? The Nokia 808 PureView and its massive 41 megapixel sensor are coming soon to the UK, and we’ll be stocking it sim-free and unlocked right here.
The 808 PureView is the first of Nokia’s PureView range and includes some really stunning optics along with some very clever technology to bring it all together – as you won’t need full 41 megapixel images (as that’d be as big as a billboard), the Nokia 808’s image processor will oversample, taking edge data from seven neighbourly pixels to produce one perfectly calculated pixel in data. That turns into a 5 megapixel image of unprecedented image quality and sharpness with almost zero noise. Without a doubt, it’s the single best camera to ever ship on a smartphone.

8 May.I think everybody has got the price and release date wrong. I have been ringing Nokia regularly and all they say is that they haven’t got a release date or price yet for UK.
The Camera Phone may not be dead but it looks like the Nokia bean counters are trying their best to murder it. . . .HOW MUCH? Dammit Nokia!! Dashing yet another opportunity to the rocks. Then what Nookiea? will you blame Symbian? Camera phone potentials? Great Hardware features?
The N8 did fine when its price dropped to 350 usd, and yes the 808 is a niche marker phone, and at this price NO ONE outside of the most committed and wealthy in that niche will EVER purchase it, try dropping the price from 539 down to 400 if you want this line to succeed, I know I want it to succeed.
