Otterbox is one of the most trusted case manufacturers around, so I thought I’d break down their current product line so you can see the differences between them.
Impact Series
First, we’ll have a look at the Impact Series. These are slimline iPhone 4S cases that emphasises a tight fit and a minimal signature. We’ll have a look at one of our iPhone 4S covers.
As you can see, this iPhone 4S case is quite thin, but still offers a small amount of protection. The iPhone 4 covers also come with screen protectors, quite a bonus these days.
Defender Series
Now, we look at the heavier end of the spectrum: The Defender Series. These iPhone 4 accessories emphasise protection, sacrificing a slimmer figure to pack on the armour. The iPhone 4S covers also come with a slightly higher cost.
As you can see, these iPhone 4S accessories are visibly heavier, offering more protection.
Commuter Series
Now we move onto the comfortable middle of the spectrum, the Commuter Series.
These iPhone 4 cases are a good middle of the road deal, with substantial protection in a thinner shell. The iPhone 4 case offers three layers of protection: inner silicone shell with exposed corners, outer hardened plastic, and a screen protector once more.
We’ve shown a Samsung Galaxy S2 case here, but you get the idea. It’s a good balance of the two previous mobile phone cases, and is just the right fit – one of my favourite Samsung Galaxy S2 accessories.
