It’s a really sweet look, and much better than traditional here-is-a-JPG-of-an-animal designs.

This last case only has a cute name, but it performs its protective duties even better than the other two cases on this list. That’s because the Otterbox Defender features a three layer system, with a stiff polycarbonate shell wrapped in a silicone skin to resist scratching, impacts, and crushing damage. With great protection comes increased size, but the Defender still manages to be a highly slim system, offering not a much bigger silhouette than most other silicone cases.
The Otterbox Defender series has long been recognised as one of the foremost protective solutions for the iPhone 4, which is why it gets our number one spot today. If you’re looking for a slimmer, or more artful case, then the Waddle or the Flexishield Skin might be better options. Otherwise, the Otterbox Defender is a great iPhone 4 cover and won’t lead you wrong.
