Sick of slow, unresponsive laptop touchpads?

First of all, a bit of a confession – I don’t actually own a laptop.  Or a Netbook.  No, I’m one of those dinosaurs who prefers to stick with a desktop rather than going for the lighter, more portable, more aesthetically pleasing option.  And the main reason why is a bit embarrassing to admit – I just don’t like having to use touchpads to navigate across the screen.  Don’t even get me started on those little red dot thingies.

Of course, there’s the option of just carrying a mouse around with you – and now that it’s easy to get a wireless mouse, you don’t even need the faff of plugging it into the USB everytime.  But a normal mouse is a bit bulky to carry about all the time – not to mention, you often don’t have quite enough space to use one on the go, for example when you’re on a train balancing on a flip-down tray, or in bed, or resting the laptop on your lap.

And it seems that I wasn’t the only person with this problem, so SwiftPoint have created a new award-winning mouse which is free of wires, small enough to take wherever you go and more efficient than a touchpad.

SwiftPoint Mouse

The SwiftPoint Mouse is absolutely tiny, but comfortable and intuitive with an easy-to-use pen-like grip.  It has advanced scrolling, paging and zooming functions, letting you navigate around your laptop screen with perfect accuracy, and is more efficient than a touchpage by 30-40%.

Best of all, it’s small enough to use on top of your laptop just alongside the trackpad, meaning that you can use it wherever you are – even if there’s no available surface.  And the increase in accuracy  means that it would be perfect for any requiring detailed movements, such as Photoshop design or gaming.

The SwiftPoint Mouse has won several awards which recognise its intuitive and innovative design, including Winner of Popular Science in the Best of What’s New Awards and an Innovations Award from CES Design and Engineering Program Computer Peripheral 2011.

To charge the mouse up, you just connect it to the equally teeny SwiftPoint dock; a USB dock with super-charge function, which will give you another full hour’s usage from just 30 seconds’ charge.
