Not too long ago I posted on the Targus Rotating iPad 2 Case, a versatile rotating case for the iPad 2, and since then its proved hugely popular. As that’s the case (no pun intended), we’ve been on the lookout for another great rotating cover for a while now, and we’ve finally got one on its way – the Trexta Rotating Folio Case for iPad 2. And it’s also available in a gorgeous fuchsia – SCREAM!
Aside from my own personal colour preferences, let’s take a look at what the Trexta has to offer in terms of iPad 2 protection:
It rotates!
So, you could probably guess this from the name. Ten points to you! The Trexta case has an innovative feature which allows the moulded plastic holder for the iPad 2 to rotate by 360°. That means you can switch smoothly and easily between landscape and portrait modes, depending on what it is you’re doing. The case will also transform into a multi-angle iPad 2 stand when folded back, so you can prop it up in either portrait or landscape too. Great stuff for watching films hands-free.
It looks nice!
Ok, so we’re back to that whole colour thing again. It’s available in both fuchsia and black. But that’s not all – it’s also a top quality iPad 2 leather case, as in genuine leather; none of that fake leather here! That gives it that luxurious look and feel, as well as ensuring that your case is sturdy enough that it will almost certainly outlast the iPad 2 itself.
If you do prefer fake leather (vegans are cool with us!) then you won’t have to look far on-site to find a fake leather iPad 2 cover – and if you want one that rotates and is leather-free, the Targus mentioned above will do the job perfectly.
It protects!
The leather exterior will protect your iPad 2 from any scratches, scrapes and minor impacts, and a soft microfibre lining on the inside will cushion the tablet and stop it getting scratched from the inside. The case is of folio design, with a snap-close which keeps your tablet safely away whilst it’s not in use.
It stays put!
There’s nothing more annoying than trying to use a laptop or tablet and it sliding all over the place on your desk. The Trexta case has unique anti-slip bands that have enough friction to hold the case in place on your desk – this seems like it would be very useful indeed on a train when a bit of slippage is inevitable.
