Weekly Round-up

This week I’ve been sifting through our upcoming collection of iPad 2 covers to see what looks interesting.

I’m pretty taken with the Targus Rotating iPad 2 case, which acts as a case and stand and allows you to rotate the tablet from landscape to portrait without removing it from the case.  Definitely one to note – take a look at the picture to see what I mean:

I’ve also been eyeing up the Macally BookStandPro for iPad 2 which is a great desktop-away-from-home option for commuters or creative types.  Of course, with Apple’s own iPad 2 Smart Covers coming into stock soon as well, it remains to be seen how popular alternative-brand cases will turn out to be!

We’ve got a brand new range of MacBook cases over at our sister-site GearZap, from Franky Wish.  These are specially designed for the new versions of MacBook Pro and have a range of fairly funky designs for people that want something a bit different.

A couple of other cool gadgets:

The Ozaki iSuppli Nautilus Power Dock is an iPhone dock which charges your phone and also works as a passive speaker, allowing you to amplify music from your iPhone by up to 15 decibels.  Great stuff if you want to pump up the volume a bit without all the faff of speakers and wires.

The iPhone 4 Vapor Case from Element Cases is a properly high quality bit of kit, sleekly crafted from aviation-grade aluminium with a shock-absorbent liner to absorb g-forces of impact.  It looks gorgeous and also helps to prevent the notorious signal issues in the iPhone 4

On the Android side of things, we’ve now got official HTC Incredible S accessories in stock – the Car Upgrade Kit CU S460 and the Pouch PO S550.  The car kit in particular is a really high-quality gadget, as I’m sure you’ll know if you’ve used HTC’s own-brand car holders before.
