Choosing your next iPhone Docking Station

Back in December I ran through some of the different styles of iPhone docking stations that are available. As it was only a relatively quick post, I thought I’d go back and take a closer look at some of the more popular ones.

iPhone 4 Dock – Black

Simple and effective, this is a straight forward iPhone Docking Station that allows you to sync and charge your iPhone 4 without having to mess around with cables. Just plonk your iPhone on the cradle and it will launch iTunes on your computer, start charging and sync all your contacts, photos, videos and music.

Kensington Charging Dock With Mini Battery Pack for iPhone 4

The Kensington Docking Station is similar to the standard dock, but has a secondary charging port for a portable battery pack and will only charge your phone. It doesn’t sync your iPhone with your computer so this is an ideal choice for your bedside table. It works with all models of iPhone and iPod. The battery pack is perfect for carrying around in your bag for times when you’re out and about and running low on power.

KitSound Xdock iPhone/iPod Clock Radio Dock

This iPhone docking station from KitSound is another one that’s perfect for next to your bed. As well as charging your iPhone, the Xdoc can wake you up to either a radio station of your choice or the music from your iPhone. Set up is easy as the time is automatically sync’d from your phone.
