10 of the Best HTC Legend Cases – Updated

The HTC Legend is an excellent upgrade to the HTC Hero that launched last summer. It’s faster, has an improved display as well as a fresher, smoother look. It’s the first phone to have a ‘Unibody’ housing, carved out of a single block of aluminium. This makes it tough and rigid, but also prone to scratches and dents – ask any MacBook Pro owner!

Because of the aluminium finish, there’s a very high chance that it’ll scratch quite easily, so you’re going to need a case for it. The HTC Legend Cases listed below have all been tried and tested with a working phone and we’ve found them to do a great job of protecting your phone. As with the original Hero, the unique ‘chin’ on the phone does make finding a case to fit a little trickier which is why there aren’t too many here at the moment, but we’ll be adding to this over the coming days and weeks.

1. FlexiShield Skin for HTC Legend

Flexishield skins are the most popular case that we sell for touch screen phones. They’re a tough, flexible gel case that covers the back, sides and corners of your Legend. It’s moulded to accommodate the chin of the phone and doesn’t interfere with charging sockets, headphone ports or volume keys. It does a great job of protecting the aluminium frame of your phone, but doesn’t cover the screen, so a HTC Legend Screen Protector is a worthwhile investment.

2. HTC PO S491 Legend Standard Leather Pouch

The Legend is a smart looking phone that needs a smart looking case. The S491 has been designed specifically to accommodate the ‘chin’ on the Legend. It’s a pouch style case that made from a high quality leather with a soft lining that helps to keep your screen fingerprint free.

3. Noreve Tradition C Leather Pouch for HTC Legend

A smart phone deserves a smart case and you don’t get much more smarter than a Noreve Case. There are two styles of Noreve case, Traditional A and Traditional C. Traditional A are leather flip cases, Traditional C are leather Pouches. The chin of the phone is causing a slight delay with the flip case, but in the mean time, this leather pouch is a simple but stylish way to stop your Legend from getting scratched and scuffed.

4. HTC PO C300 For The HTC Legend

This is a geniune HTC case designed to work with all of their touchscreen handsets. It has cut outs for your charger and handsfree/headphones, as well as a hole in the bottom to make it easier to push your phone out.  It’s made from a high quality leather with grey stitching and a soft suede lining that helps to keep your screen fingerprint free. On the back, the case has a couple of mounting options. The first is a sprung belt clip that allows you to attach it and remove it from your belt quickly and easily, the other is two stitched belt loops that allow you to keep the case on your belt or bag strap permanently with no chance of it falling off.

5. InvisibleSHIELD for HTC Legend

If you don’t want the added bulk of a case, but still  want to protect your Legend against scratches then an InvisibleShield is a great option. It’s a tough, thin plastic film that covers all of your phone. I’ve been a fan of these for a while now as they do such a good job. Fitting them is a little bit fiddly, but the end result is well worth it. They cover the front, sides and back of your phone, leaving the optical trackpad and volume buttons free to use. They don’t add a lot to the bulk of your handset so you can easily use them with most other cases and covers.

6. HTC Legend Orbit Flex Krusell Premium Leather Case

Krusell make some great mobile phone cases and this is one of their most popular. Orbit Flex Cases are designed specifically for each of the touch screen phones. They allow quick and easy access to your HTC Legend with out adding any unneccesary bulk. They have a soft touch lining that helps keep your screen clean while its in the case. The flip can be detached from the case for unrestricted access to the screen. All Krusell cases work with the Multidapt range of clips and mounts so you can find the right mounting option for your phone.

7. PDair Flip Case for HTC Legend

The PDair Flip Case is another classic leather flip case which opens from the top in a flip-action.  It has easy access to all controls, and also boasts PDair’s custom clip which allows the case to be worn on the belt at any angle.

8. Silicone Case for HTC Legend

Simple and affordable, Silicone Cases are a great way to protect your Legend against minor knocks and bumps. They’ll stop the aluminium finish from getting scratched and give your phone more grip. Like FlexiShield cases they don’t protect your screen, so you’ll need to invest in a HTC Legend Screen Protector.

9. ToughGuard Shell for HTC Legend

ToughGuard Shells are very similar to  Crystal Cases, but are coloured and much stronger. They cover all of the outsides of your phone, leaving the screen, keypad, volume controls and charger ports accessible. They’re designed to be left on your phone permanently and can be a little tricky to remove – this is a good thing though as it means it’s not going to come flying off your phone when you drop it!

10. Crystal Case for HTC Legend

Crystal cases are a more rigid case than FlexiShield, but provide similar levels of protection. They’re not quite as robust as a FlexiShields. Instead of giving your phone more bounce, crystal cases are designed to absorb the impact and divert it away from your phone. This can mean that the case will break, but it’s better to replace a relatively inexpensive case than face expensive repair bills for your phone.
