OnePlus 3
June 2016

OnePlus has made their mark on the back of low-cost, high-performance phones and the OnePlus 3 seems to continue that trend. Even better, it’s the first OnePlus phone to be available for general sale, with the Chinese company ditching the irksome invite system they’ve used in the past. How does it compare to other phones on the market? Let’s ask the experts.

“The OnePlus 3 is the rare kind of phone that I can recommend without reservations, other from making sure it works on your carrier. It hits all the marks for what an Android phone should offer in 2016, and it does so at a price that’s significantly less than the competition.”

“Add everything together and there’s no doubt that the OnePlus 3 is a superb smartphone. It marries top-level performance, an excellent camera, decent display quality and great design with a refreshingly simple Android skin to deliver a true flagship smartphone for silly money.”

“The OnePlus 3 is almost perfect. It hasn’t scrimped on style or substance and there are so many seemingly insignificant touches that actually make a vast difference to the overall impression of the phone. Any Android software with a skin is going to have its flaws, and Android itself has its own built-in, but this is the least offensive skin we’ve seen.”

“As it stands, my recommendation on the OnePlus 3 is… a conditional one. If the problems with the display don’t bother you then there’s a lot to like here… the OnePlus 3 represents a really great device at a more than fair price.”
