Samsung have been in the smartwatch game longer than most, but so far none of their watches has really been a breakout success. Their new Gear S2 model looks like their best effort yet though, with a slim full-circle display and a cool rotating bezel for scrolling around the Tizen OS.
The watch has received average to good reviews thus far, with reviewers praising the design, build quality and screen. Points have been taken off though, due to a limited app selection, mediocre battery life and poor voice support. Still, the S2 looks like one of the best Android smartwatches released this year.

“In the end, the Gear S2 is an above-average smartwatch that occasionally shimmers with brilliance — here’s hoping the sequel gets the developer love to make it a serious heavyweight.”
TechRadar
By Spencer Hart
“This is by far Samsung’s best smartwatch yet, from its smarter, round design to the clever rotating bezel. However, the Gear S2 still looks and feels more like a tech lover’s device, and lacks a developer community.”

“Samsung’s newest smartwatch reinvents itself with a whole new look and feel to create one of the best-designed wrist gadgets around — but it still lacks the apps to set it above the competition.”
Android Authority
By Joshua Vergara
“Samsung gets a lot right with their first round face smartwatch, including a unique and useful input method, but limited [app support] is what may ultimately give the edge to the competition.”
