When Samsung announced the Galaxy S6 Edge+, we already knew a lot of what was to come, thanks to a deluge of leaks and rumours in the months before. One surprise was an innovative accessory for QWERTY keyboard fans: the Samsung Keyboard Cover Case. The first units have arrived in stock today, so we’ve made a brief video giving a hands-on review of this cool retro accessory.
As you can see, the Keyboard Cover Case is a pretty useful attachment for your Galaxy S6 Edge+, allowing you to have a full screen experience for videos and games, but still be able to add a hardware keyboard when you need it for texts, emails and Whatsapp messages.
One awesome feature of the keyboard is that it doesn’t require any power to use, thanks to its direct capacitive connection to the screen. That means unlike Bluetooth or other wireless connection methods, you don’t need a battery in the keyboard itself, and you don’t have to spend any time recharging it. It also makes the unit lighter and more portable.
Being able to stick the case on the back or the front with a single easy gesture is really what sets this accessory apart from other keyboard cases that we’ve seen in the past… and Samsung’s seal of approval and a perfect fit also helps a lot!
