The Sony Xperia Z2 is the next big smartphone from Sony, and we’re already preparing accessories for the widely leaked phone. The first case comes from Muvit, an Xperia partner with close ties to Sony. It’s called the Carbon Case – now let’s take a look.
We will have these cases as soon as they have been officially announced at the Mobile World Congress in late February.
Stylish, modern look
The Carbon Case is a stark, modern case with clean lines and a carbon fibre texture. The sleek look should provide a fitting evolution to the Xperia design language we’ve seen over the past few generations, with the carbon fibre adding an exotic edge to the proceedings.
Slim protective profile
The Carbon Case includes rubberised edges to provide impact protection, but is otherwise slim and light. That means you get the protection that you need on your new Xperia Z2, but you avoid the bulk of a traditional protective case.
Built for the Xperia Z2
This case was built just for the Xperia Z2, with cutouts in all the right places to allow easy access to ports, the camera and buttons. The case’s colour was also finely tuned to match the phone, and will be available in four shades – the original black carbon fibre, plus white, pink and purple.

Conclusion
So what do you think of the first Xperia Z2 case? I reckon it’s a winner – but if it’s not to your taste, I’m sure we’ll see a whole host of additional cases and other Z2 accessories in the near future here at Mobile Fun. Thanks for joining me and be sure to let us know if you have any other questions or comments about the phone or the case!
