Gold phones are all the rage these days. Phones in gold sell particularly well in the Middle East and Asia, but they’re becoming increasingly popular in North America and Europe as well. Apple have released their latest iPhone with a gold colour option, and Android manufacturers like Samsung and HTC have continued to offer their latest wares with a gold coloured façade. A powerful phone
The HTC One is a powerful phone, even a few months after it was originally released. You’ll get a powerful quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and a 4.7-inch 1080p display. Powerful front-facing stereo speakers make this one of the best smartphones for listening to music, watching videos or playing games, too. The metal design is probably my favourite out of all 2013 flagships, and is both durable and seriously cool looking. Inside, you’ll find a much more sedated HTC Sense UX than versions past, running on Android 4.4 KitKat (after OTA update). All in all, a powerful phone near the top of the market.
A golden finish
The HTC One does look mighty good in gold as well. It’s not too brash or over-the-top, just a chilled champagne colour that adds a real touch of class.
