The perfect Android Pocket PC – now dual-core with Bluetooth!

Last week, we let you know about about the Android Pocket PC, an Android computer not much bigger than a USB stick that plugged into your HDTV, allowing to watch videos and play games. This week, we’re introducing a new update – the Dual-Core Android Pocket PC.

As the name suggests, this Android-PC-on-a-stick moves from a single-core processor to a dual-core model at 1.6 GHz, letting apps load and run faster. The RAM has been upgraded from DDR2 to DDR3 and you’ll get more storage too – 8 GB instead of 4 GB. This can still be upgraded using microSD cards for up to 32 GB of additional storage space. With these specifications, you’ll be able to play almost all games and apps in the market with no lag.

Displays of up to 1080p are also supported, making this perfect for watching HD films, TV shows or YouTube. The operating system has also been upgraded, from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Another big addition to the Android Pocket PC is Bluetooth support. Now, you’re able to connect multiple accessories including game controllers, speakers, headsets, keyboards and mice. That leaves the USB slot free for other uses, including connecting USB drives up to 500 GB in size.

All of this comes in a portable stick form factor measuring just 98 x 39 x 13 millimetres, and weighing a fraction of even the lightest phones at just 35 grams. You can keep the pocket PC plugged into your TV, or you can stick it in your pocket and access your apps and data wherever you go!

Best of all, the new dual-core Android Pocket PC is only slightly more expensive than the single-core variant. If you’re in the market for a cheap Android PC for your TV, then this is the one to get! It’s cheaper than the GameStick and Ouya too, making this a good choice if you’d be using it for streaming instead of playing games.
