The heart of the OnBeat are its dual JBL full-range transducers. The 2 x 2W speakers provide impressive sound for their size, with room-filling volume without distortion thanks to the speakers’ use of Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
The OnBeat can be powered via the mains or with four AAA batteries for a more portable experience. There’s an LED indicator on the device, which shows you when the dock is charging, when it’s lowing run on batteries and when it is off or on.
The JBL OnBeat is compatible with any iPhone or iPod with a Lightning connector. You can also connect other devices, including MP3 players, smartphones and tablets with the 3.5 mm stereo jack on the back. There’s even a USB port, so you can plug in older Apple devices easily.
