Whilst we were in Barcelona for the Mobile World Conference, we took some photos of some official HTC One X accessories that’ll be coming to Mobile Fun soon. Let’s have a look!
HTC One X Speaker Dock CR S650

This shows the dock sitting upright; in normal operation the dock will be flat on the desk, holding the phone at a 30 degree angle.
The first product is this HTC One X speaker dock. As well as charging over the integrated gold-plated pogo pins, the dock also includes a high quality integrated speaker along its front edge. The speaker’s volume can be adjusted by the two buttons inlaid on the front lip of the speaker. Due to the perfect fit of the One X into the dock, cases can’t be worn at the same time.
Thanks to the use of pogo pins instead of microUSB, the One X will automatically switch into a portrait dock mode when it’s placed in the dock. Audio is transferred over Bluetooth, using the lossless apt-X standard. This allows perfect transmission of whatever audio your One X is playing without using lossy compression, making for top notch sound.
HTC One X Car Kit including Car Charger CAR D110
HTC are also providing an official HTC One X Car Kit. This two-in-one unit will keep your One X charged and in a perfect position when you’re on the move.

On the left image, you can see the improved cup section. On the right, you can see the special driving mode that's automatically activated.
The One X car holder has been improved over previous models, including a more powerful suction cup that can be rotated to ensure a tighter connection. The holder will fit the One X perfectly, but unfortunately this also means that it isn’t case-compatible – you’ll have to take your case off to use it in the car holder, although screen protectors will be fine.
The version we saw at MWC used a micro USB connection for charging, but it’s possible a pogo pin version will be released as well. This would offer an improvement over the micro USB version by automatically switching the phone into a special driving mode, featuring an enlarged interface to apps like GPS navigation and your contacts.
HTC Car StereoClip (Aux)

Here's a stock photo of the StereoClip, as we didn't capture one at the show!
The Car StereoClip turns any car stereo with an auxiliary input in a full Bluetooth-enabled audio system, letting to you listen to your phone without having it plugged in.
You just plug in the adapter to your car’s auxiliary 3.5 mm input and connect to the adapter via Bluetooth. Once the connection’s been made, any audio played through your phone is transmitted via Bluetooth to the adapter and played on your car’s speakers. The audio is transmitted using the apt-X lossless standard, meaning you’ll enjoy perfect audio quality.
If your car stereo doesn’t come with Bluetooth, this is the best way to listen to your phone’s music on the go. It’s also great for connecting to your mate’s Hi-Fi system, allowing the same easy connection that only needs to be set up once. The StereoClip includes enough battery power to stay charged for extended periods, and can easily be refilled via Micro USB.
What do you think?
So what do you think of the new accessories? I’m quite enthused; I don’t know if I’m going to pick up the One X but if I do then I’m definitely getting the Speaker Dock or the StereoClip – both would be great fits given the phone’s Beats audio technology.
Of course, we’ve got a lot more interesting accessories coming for the latest phones. If you’ve got any questions or comments, feel free to leave them with us below.
