The Sim Free HTC Radar is coming soon to Mobile Fun, for just £334.95.
The phone is the little brother of the magnormous unlocked HTC Titan, sporting a more moderately sized 3.8″ Super LCD touchscreen and the same advanced Windows Phone 7 Mango operating system. Perhaps its most obvious feature is the beautifully crafted white and silver metal unibody shell, which looks fantastic and is sure to hold up well thanks to HTC’s legendary build quality.
Its internals aren’t anything to sniff at either – it’s got a relatively powerful 1GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, same as the iPhone 4. The HTC Radar unlocked has also got two cameras, a back-facing crisp 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p video recording, as well as a front-facing VGA camera for video calls. All of the connectivity you’d expect from a modern smartphone is present and correct too, with fast 802.11n wifi, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS.
Probably the best thing about this phone is that it’ll support Windows Phone 7 Mango, which is looking like a massive upgrade to the OS. There’s over 500 tweaks and changes planned, as well as important advances in multitasking, Facebook and Twitter integration, voice guidance software and more. If you’re looking for a cheap way to get into Mango, then the Radar could be just the ticket.
Of course, Mobile Fun will have the usual array of exciting HTC Radar accessories, including protective HTC Radar cases and covers. There’ll also be extras like HTC Radar docks, desk stands, screen protectors and HTC Radar chargers.
The unlocked HTC Radar itself will be shipped out quite soon – while the release date hasn’t been narrowed down to a single day, an October release is definitely on the cards.
