HTC Pyramid finally on the near horizon – and it’ll be called the HTC Sensation

Finally, some concrete news about the much-talked about HTC Pyramid – in the UK, it’ll be called the HTC Sensation.

From a look at the rumoured specs, it’s a pretty apt name – this is impressive stuff.  The HTC Sensation is rumoured to include 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 4G connectivity (for the US only, of course – grr), a 4.3 inch gHD screen and 1080p video playback with HDMI.  There’s also a chance that it might be launching with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, though some people are placing their bets on HTC sticking with Gingerbread for smartphones and launching Honeycomb on a tablet later in the year.

There’s no news on a UK price yet, but it looks as though the handset will be officially launched on 12th April at a specially-arranged HTC media event.  As soon as we have word on price and specs, we’ll get a page up live for the SIM free handset.

Until then, it’s all informed guesswork and leaked pictures – here’s one from Chinese website XDA.cn, though it may well be fake, so take it with a pinch of salt!

Bonafide or Fakey McFakerson?

We’ll be sourcing a wide variety of HTC Sensation accessories as soon as possible, so watch this space!  Until then, there’s a massive range of accessories for other HTC phones over on the main site, whether you want an HTC Wildfire case or a screen protector for your Desire.
