5 of the Best X10 Mini Pro Cases

The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro are very similar looking phones. They’re both compact devices that run on the Android OS, but what sets the two apart is text entry. The X10 Mini relies on it’s touch screen for all text entry, where as the X10 Mini Pro has a slide out QWERTY keyboard.

In terms of size the X10 Mini Pro is slightly bigger than the X10 Mini so most X10 Mini cases won’t work with it – They certainly don’t accommodate the keyboard either.

If you’ve got an X10 Mini Pro, you’ll want to get a phone specific case to keep it protected, but with the phone being so small, finding one that fits well is a bit of a mission. The case doesn’t cover the front of the phone with strips of leather or restrict access to the screen and controls. The side rails are positioned so that they don’t interfere with the slide mechanism, volume or camera keys and all the ports on the bottom of the phone are also left accessible. Cut outs on the back of the case mean that you can leave the phone in the case to take photos.

Crystal Case – Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro

A Crystal Case is an extremely popular way of protecting your phone.  While they aren’t as strong or durable as the ToughGuard Shell, they will still prevent your phone from getting scratched.  If/when you do drop your handset, crystal cases are designed to take the impact instead of your phone. This might mean that you’ll need to buy a new crystal case, but you won’t need to buy a new phone.

The Crystal Case is in two parts. One half covers the front frame and the other covers all of the back of your phone. The keypad, screen and charging ports are all exposed and easy to access. As the screen isn’t covered, I’d recommend fitting an X10 Mini Pro Screen Protector.

If you don’t want the added bulk of a case, but still  want to protect your X10 Mini Pro then an InvisibleShield is a great option. It’s a tough, thin plastic film that covers all of your phone. I’ve been a fan of these for a while now as they do such a good job. Fitting them is a little time consuming, but the end result is well worth it. As they don’t add a lot to the bulk of your handset, you can easily use them with most other cases and covers. ToughGuard Shell For Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro

ToughGuard Shields are similar to Crystal Cases but they are much more robust. Rather than being made from clear plastic, they are made from a more flexible, energy absorbing polycarbonate. This means that the case is unlikely to break or shatter if you drop your phone and will divert impact damage away from your X10 Mini Pro. ToughGuard Shields don’t cover the screen, so we’d recommend using an X10 Mini Pro Screen Protector with it.

The fit of the case is the same as the crystal case. It covers the frame around the screen and the back of the phone.
