Mobile Fun unveils new mobile site

New mobile platform now live for mobile accessories retailer 

Birmingham, 22 April 2014. Mobile Fun, a global online retailer of mobile device accessories, has responded to growing traffic from smart devices by launching its new mobile site.

For customers are using their smartphone, the new site makes it easier to browse and shop wherever and whenever they like. The new site went live in March.

Offering touch screen optimised navigation, fast loading times, simplified content and striking visuals, the site enables customers to view Mobile Fun’s expanding portfolio of mobile device and tablet accessories.

Mohammed Hussain, Managing Director of Mobile Fun, commented: “Mobile traffic has been growing steadily over the last 18 months. With close to 30% of traffic generated on smartphones, we see our new optimised mobile site as a way to increase conversions. We predict that mobile and tablet sales will match online sales within the next two years, so the launch of an integrated mobile platform will enhance customer experience and drive further growth.”

The new mobile site has been developed internally by the Mobile Fun team. Head of Mobile Fun UK Alex Ashman and his growing team of developers spent three months building the site.

Alex added: “To ensure a successful launch, the team has tapped into analytics to monitor conversion rate changes, carried out user testing and gathered customer feedback across the site. We have tailored the mobile user experience to make browsing and buying simple and intuitive – and customer feedback reflects this improvement; it’s as easy to complete a purchase on a smartphone or tablet as it is on a desktop.”

In addition to its new design, the mobile site synchronises seamlessly with the content on Mobile Fun’s desktop website providing a simplified transition for the products team.

The mobile site is currently available on www.mobilefun.co.uk and the team hopes to launch additional mobile sites for its international customers within the next six months. These dedicated portals will provide local-language content across its portfolio of 30 international websites and give global users access to its growing catalogue of 8,500 products.
