MOBILE ACCESSORIES CONSULTANCY LAUNCHED FOR FIRE SERVICES
West Midlands Fire Service first to gain specialist advice on mobile phone accessories for emergency vehicles
19 October 2010. The leading mobile accessories retailer Mobile Fun, which has over 10 years’ expertise in mobile accessories and devices, has launched a specialist provision to advise fire services across the country on the range of mobile accessories available for their mobile devices.
Many of the UK’s fire services use a standard hard-case cradle within their cabs, which can present an array of problems. These include different set ups in cabs and a wide variety of devices being used, some of which may be too big or small to fit securely into standard cradles.
But now, thanks to Mobile Fun and the West Midlands Fire Service, which was the first to take up the mobile accessories retailer’s consultation offer, interested fire services will receive a free report on the different products available for their mobile devices.
The West Midlands Fire Service turned to Mobile Fun to research what multipurpose cradles and car kits are available on the market today or could be sourced internationally to ensure that their mobile devices were securely transported in cabs across their fleet. Using this information, Mobile Fun then identified the relevant mobile accessories and created an advisory report on the best cradles for use within West Midlands Fire Service cabs.
Mobile Fun is able to source a full range of cradles for devices including BlackBerrys, iPhones and Nokias. The wide range of over 240 cradles is not exhaustive and can be expanded on – dependant on the bespoke requirements of customers. The extensive choice available can result in safer transportation of handheld radios and mobiles within the cabs, while also offering an ideal size to cradle a variety of mobile phones.
