Samsung has finally unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE at CES, and I must say I’m a little underwhelmed on first impressions.
Now the one thing we new this phone was going to have is the looks from the Samsung Galaxy S21, and Samsung delivered in this department. The S21 FE looks almost identical which is certainly no bad thing, as the S21 was a good looking phone in my opinion.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is available in Olive, Graphite, Lavender, and White. They all look like nice colours however, I will miss the two tone effect with the camera bump and the colour of the phone the S21 had.
The rest of the phone is what we have come to expect from the FE line. A large 6.4″, 120Hz, bright, colourful display with a hole punch cut out for the selfie camera, excellent if you are playing games, looking at photos or watching videos on the move.
The cameras on the phone are 12MP for the Ultra Wide, 12MP for the Wide, 8MP for the 3x Telephoto, and around the front a huge 32MP selfie camera. As we have not had a chance to play around with it yet, I must say that I’m sure the cameras are good but probably won’t rival the iPhone 13 or Pixel 6, but I’m happy to be proven wrong.
The rest of the phone seems solid, with a good processor, a large battery, and no glaring omissions to be worried about. The phone is priced at £699, which is not terrible, however we are very close to seeing the S22 lineup be announced which usually means the S21 prices drop. So the fact is if you are happy to grab an S21 rather than the S21 FE you are probably going to get a better phone for less money.
