HTC One Mini announced, we’ll have accessories

The HTC One was lauded by critics for its beautiful unibody aluminium design, front-facing speakers and strong specifications. Now the One is being made smaller, metamorphosing into a phone that we now know as the HTC One Mini.

The Mini is smaller in every dimension, and boasts a strong mid-range set of specifications. That combination should be of interest to the dozens of people I talk to each week who are looking for a well designed Android phone that’s still small enough to allow for one-handed use.

While the One Mini’s resolution has been lowered from Full HD (1920 x 1080) to merely HD (1280 x 720) to account for the smaller 4.7-inch screen and the IR blaster has disappeared, the rest of the specifications seem strong enough – a Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor, a Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and an Ultrapixel rear-facing camera.

The phone is expected to be available in the third quarter of this year – between July and September – for a price consistent with other mid-range phones.

Here at Mobile Fun, we’re already preparing for the launch of the One Mini. We’ve starting populating our store with a range of HTC One Mini accessories, including the first cases for the phone. We’ve already got images of the Case-Mate Barely There in black and white, as well as the Tough Case in black, as you can see. Have a look at the relevant category page for more HTC One Mini cases. We’ll also be adding docks, chargers, car accessories and much more as we get closer to launch.

Are you looking forward to the launch of the HTC One? I sure am!
