Here are the Kindle Keyboard and the current generation Kindle, to scale. As you can see the Kindle is smaller than its predecessor and is most easily identified by its lack of hardware keyboard. The Kindle Keyboard (and even older Kindle models) say ‘Amazon Kindle’ across the top, where as the latest version Kindle merely says ‘Kindle.’ The screen is the same size, though.
