The beautiful and expansive Samsung Galaxy Note will be available from this Friday at Mobile Fun.
The smartphone-tablet hybrid rocks a 5.3″ HD+ display, with a cracking resolution of 1280 x 800 (that’s a step up than most 10″ netbooks). The screen is Super AMOLED, which is a long acronym that means “very bright, good contrast.” To make full use of the massive screen, there’s an integrated stylus called the S Pen and some unique note-taking and drawing apps.
Internally, things are as top notch as you’d expect. There’s a dual core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, a full gigabyte of RAM (twice that of the iPhone 4S), and a choice of 16 or 32 GB of internal storage space. You can also plug in a microSD card to add up to 64 extra GB.
On the rear of the phone, there’s a strong eight megapixel camera capable of 1080p video shooting. The front camera is 2 MP, quite possibly the best front-facing camera available, so expect excellent video calling performance.
On the software side of things, Samsung is including the latest version of Android available at the moment (Gingerbread), with a future upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich planned soon after its release. The phone also includes the latest version of TouchWiz, Samsung’s proprietary Android front-end which offers quite a few upgrades over vanilla upgrade (as Galaxy S2 users will know).
If you’re planning on picking up a sim free Samsung Galaxy Note, then you also might want to grab some Samsung Galaxy Note accessories like a Samsung Galaxy Note case. Of course, we’ve got those already in stock, so you’ll be good to go!
