New In! iPhone Printer

Of all the iPhone accessories that are available, there is one that stands out as being missing – a printer. The camera on the latest iPhone and iPod touch is a big improvement over previous models, but with Apple restricting Bluetooth access on the phone, the only way to get print photo’s out is to transfer them to your PC or Mac and upload them to a printing site, or put them on a memory stick and take them to your nearest photo kiosk in supermarkets.

Not everyone will need or want to print their photo’s out, but those of us that enjoy having physical copies of their photo’s that they can place in albums and flick through when they want a trip down memory lane will love being able to print out their photo’s as and when they want them.

Bolle BP-10 Printer

It’s for that very reason that Bolle have come up with the worlds first iPhone Printer. The Bolle BP-10 is a photo printer dedicated to the iPhone that can print 4″x6″ photos from a single, or multiple images (if you want to create a mosaic). To control the printer, Bolle has created an app that can be downloaded for free from the App Store. The iPhone communicates with the printer by the standard iPhone port, and as you can expect, the printer also acts as a charging station for the phone. The printer works with all generations of iPhone and iPod touch and will work with iPad if you use a dock extender cable.

For those of you who like the idea of printing, but want to print out documents, webpages, emails and larger sized photo’s you won’t have much longer to wait. Apple are set to release their new Airprint feature as part of iOS 4.2 later this month.
