  Works well as either a night stand or a desk stand. Home screen and most apps rotate automatically when phone inserted (as long as power is being supplied to the stand). Can automatically bring clock app up so I just drop my phone in at night and have a bedside clock automatically. Phone is a snug fit - wont fit in with any sort of case. Wish it was cheaper so as I could have one on my desk & one by my bed.

  you should probably wait to see it before reviewing like you did. most android phones have a desk dock or car dock mode which is activated when it senses it is docked in an appropriate device. this will force start an application (like a desk clock or car home) which replaces the home app (launcher). when you press home it takes you to the replacement home app. if you mean that the default home screen on the galaxy nexus doesn't do landscape then this is correct but irrelevant. I think the one shown in the demo must be missing the replacement dock app and so not switching.
  i've not used the dock but it might be that it keeps the screen active or the volume buttons to allow the device to turn on if it goes to sleep. it does not mean this was not designed for the galaxy nexus which it clearly was.
  far more important though is where is it? the phone's been out for a month and we still can't get a desk dock or car dock that uses the three pins.
