Great compact phone holder

Really like this little holder - it's compact, so fits well onto the dash of my mini clubman, doesn't obscure my view of the windshield. I bought a separate sticky pad, to make it really secure, works well with my Galaxy Z Flip5.
It would be even better if it didn't have the clamp phone holder, it's very tight, which makes it a little tricky to get in and out, but then it's very sturdy once in. I actually changed it for a different button operated one, it fitted in easily as they have universal ball joints.

I have one of these in every vehicle and I really like them. However, when it gets really hot (vehicle standing in sunlight) the gel starts to run and sometimes the holder falls off and has to be relocated in a slightly different place. This is frustrating more than anything. The issue I have is removing the gell from the dashboard after it has run - eventually used rubbing alcohol which finally worked after several attempts. My last unit broke after prolonged use and I couldn't find anything better so have replaced it with another one of these.

Wanted a mount for my Pixel 7 so I could safely use my phone for Android Auto. The mount went easily and securely on the trinket shelf by the gear shift so that I could use a short usb cable.

The hands free is sturdy enough. I have a galaxy a34 and and it's in a case. The case and the clamp don't always get on and on occasion my phone will come flying out of the hands free. I dont think it would happen if I took the phone out of the case. Otherwise it's grand really.

Been using this mount for many years. Got two of them for the car. They've worked great and held many different phones over the past 5-6 years. No issues on bumpy roads and the suction pad has been top notch. I only have to re-stick the dock maybe once or twice a year, when the seasons change it seems to need re-attachment. One of the plastic pegs that hold the spring inside broke on the first dock 1 year ago and now the 2nd one lost a peg, but it's still usable. Will likely purchase this dock again.

This item certainly sticks well to the dash, the only minor issue is that the jaws sit quite close to the dash, so fitting a charging cable means you have to hold the phone relatively close the the bottom.

I’ve a flip cover case for my iPhone....it’s not suitable for that as the spring is so strong it actually locks on to the open case rather then the phone itself, I’m sure it would be great for other types of cases/covers.

It's much smaller than my previous one, so that's a good thing. I've only had this for a few days and I did find that it had come un-stuck from the windscreen 2 days after I attached it. But - the weather's been hot AND although i cleaned it beforehand - perhaps the glass was not completely clean. It lasted a 250 mile journey with no problem, so all in all I'm pretty satisfied.

I read all the reviews and decided to ignore the few which said it was rubbish, as previous Olixar products have been good. This looks and feels ok but isn't! It will not grip/stick anywhere for longer than 5 minutes, with or without a phone. My dash is textured so I tried the windscreen, expecting that to be fine, but unfortunately not. Very disappointing.
