I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm pleased to say it is actually a comfortable cushion and perfect if you have a chair that has lost some of its own softness. The layer on the bottom that sits on the chair is designed to keep the cushion from sliding around, so it stays put even when you get up or sit again. Overall, I am very pleased with it.

Hoped that it was reasonably thick and sturdy. Very pleased and satisfied to find that it was ! I'm aged nearly 82 and tend to sit most of the day at my desktop PC. I suppose backache and sciatica are to be expected in my age group, so I am particularly pleased with this cushion. I've also found the cushion suits the dining room chairs, but have yet to try it on a car seat.
