This is the first car phone mount I have used in about 15 years, I don't trust the suction cup ones and didn't know about this option until recently. It works very well for me, the only complaint is there are two main parts, the part that goes in the CD slot, and the part that holds the phone. The part that holds the phone doesn't securely lock into the other part, so it's easy to take it off if you're not careful. Perhaps by design I am not sure. I still have this though recently have installed a ProClip mount(wasn't aware of them either till recently) which has a magsafe option, which looked really cool so am testing that as well I think that is what I will use going forward, charging and secure with a magnet makes for easier add/remove. But of course ProClip costs a LOT more than this part.

Bought this as an alternative to the air vent phone holders as mine wasn't very reliable in holding my phone securely - sometimes it would just drop out and take my phone along with it. This holder holds my phone very securely without a wobble at all. Does tend to rattle with no phone in it but I put an empty phone case in it and that stops the noise. To be honest it took me a while to fathom out how to assemble it-someone had commented in the reviews that it wasn't rocket
science so I'm obviously not very bright. Managed it eventually though and all in all very happy with my purchase.

Been using this mount for many years. Got two of them for the car. They've worked great and held many different phones over the past 5-6 years. No issues on bumpy roads and the suction pad has been top notch. I only have to re-stick the dock maybe once or twice a year, when the seasons change it seems to need re-attachment. One of the plastic pegs that hold the spring inside broke on the first dock 1 year ago and now the 2nd one lost a peg, but it's still usable. Will likely purchase this dock again.

Have only used the phone mount on a few occasions so far and i am impressed with the stability of the holder and the ease with which it can be attached to the the CD drive. For me this is a much better position for my phone than the obtrusive window attached holders.

At last I have a phone holder that doesn't slide off NOW, or a few months later. This LOCKS in and doesn't move or interfere with the CD player. It is SOLID! I'm ordering another one for the wifes car. I would absolutely recommend this for EVERYONE!
