Search Nearby function using UWB connectivity

If you've misplaced an item but know the vicinity it's within, switch on the Search Nearby function and get instructions via Compass View. This will display the distance and direction of your SmartTag2 in relation to your current location - guiding you straight to your misplaced item. If you still can't see it, then have your SmartTag2 call out to you via Ring Your Tag.

NFC contact information sharing when in Lost Mode

When Lost Mode is activated, anyone who discovers an item with a Galaxy SmartTag2 attached can use their smartphone to scan the tag and using NFC it will display the owner's registered contact information and message on the finder's smartphone. Allowing the finder to contact you and reunite you with your lost item. This means a Galaxy SmartTag2 attached to a pet’s collar is now a convenient way to ensure the pet owner’s phone number is always there. Lost Mode works with any mobile device with an NFC reader and web browser.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and UWB capabilities for finding items

The SmartTag2 leverages AR Find technology to visually guide you toward your tagged item using an ultra-wideband connection and your smartphone's camera. In addition, Galaxy SmartTag2 uses Bluetooth Low Energy technology to locate items like tagged TV remotes via the SmartThings Station.

Keep track of objects like wallets, keys, earbuds, and more via Bluetooth

The SmartTag2 can easily and effectively be connected to your device through Bluetooth, with a 120m range it allows you to keep track of your most important possessions. Unlike other forms of connection such as WIFI which requires an internet connection, this is an effective, reliable and secure way to connect your SmartTag2 to your device. If the item tracked is outside of the 120m Bluetooth range, SmartThings Find will use other devices, safely and securely, to help find your device. This is completely secure and offers all the privacy that makes Samsung such a popular brand - SmartThings Find even has an “Unknown tag alerts” feature, which alerts you of any unauthorized tracking.
