The case says it is WOOD, well if it is wood, it has the strangest mold markings on the edge, I ever saw? I will say that it does snap onto the iPad mini very tightly. I don't know how to tell you how disappointed I am. I guess I should have known it was NOT solid wood, by the price. I don't know how to rate the item, other than to say it is NOT Very Poor, but it is NOT Excellent, according to the product description.
