Got this to watch TV while camping and when traveling thru UK. Works perfectly on our android tablets as well as on a Windows 7 Laptop and Windows 8 tablet. sadly it took a long time to get this as it was on back order but did get plenty of emails updating me to when it was expected and offering alternatives if I did not want to wait

The Elgato EyeTV Micro peripheral devices is one of only a few digital tv tuners for android devices. As such, it automatically gets 3 stars. Internet caps are too easy to break and precious data shouldn't be wasted on online streaming. The downside to this device is that it only features SD channels, so those in Australia will have to search elsewhere to access Gem, One, and 7mate. The EyeTV app is hardly feature rich, either. It resembles an IOS app much more than an android one. It does have all the hardware you will need, however. And MobileFun makes it (semi-)affordable. Definitely worth a look.
