Yes, the Moto G5S and its bigger brother, the Moto G5S Plus, both have Micro SD card slots so you can easily add more storage to your new phone. Here’s what you need to know.<\/p>\n

The Moto G5S and G5S Plus support Micro SD cards up to 128GB<\/strong> in capacity, allowing you to get up to five times as much storage! However, for most users we recommend cards between 16GB<\/strong> and 64GB<\/strong>, as these offer a meaningful amount of space without costing an excessive amount.<\/p>\n Apart from size, Micro SD cards also have different speed ratings. The higher the speed, the less time you’ll need to wait for apps to load or media to be copied. For our purposes, we just need to consider the UHS Speed Class (shown in the third column of the\u00a0Wikipedia<\/em> chart below).<\/p>\n We recommend at least a UHS Speed Class 1<\/strong> card, which has a minimum write speed of 10 MB\/s and allows recording of 1080p video directly to the card. This is our least expensive Micro SD card, offering 16GB of storage with a fast UHS Speed Class 1 rating. The card is water resistant, has a fun white and blue colour scheme, and costs a little over a tenner — a great budget option! However, you may also wish to consider moving up to one of the options listed below.<\/p>\n
\n2. Kingston 32GB (UHS Speed Class 1)<\/h4>\n

The Kingston 32GB card is our most popular option, maintaining solid speeds compared to the Lexar card and doubling in capacity for only \u00a35 extra. The card includes a full-size adapter as well, allowing it to be used in DSLRs, video cameras and other devices. If you’re not interested in running apps directly from your Micro SD card or recording 4K video, this is an excellent choice for the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus.<\/p>\n
\n1. Sandisk Extreme 64GB (UHS Speed Class 3)<\/h4>\n

Our higher-end option is the Sandisk Extreme, which has triple the minimum write speed of the Lexar and Kingston cards we saw earlier. That results in a much faster experience, and allows you to record 4K video directly to the SD card. The card also has excellent durability, with resistance to drops, magnets, extreme temperatures, magnets and x-rays. Nice!<\/p>\n
