Yes indeed, over the past few years Priceonomics<\/a> has reported 49 selfie-related deaths… and okay this mightn’t be a particularly high figure when\u00a0consider\u00a0there are over 7 Billion people in the world, but still it’s food for thought.<\/p>\n

The average age of selfie fatalities is 21, with over\u00a070% of\u00a0victims being male (I’m not even going to comment on that one!).<\/p>\n

Contributors include the growing trend for\u00a0taking extreme selfies as well as\u00a0random, freak accidents.<\/p>\n

When it comes to selfie-related deaths India<\/strong> is a world leader, with a total of 19 selfie-related deaths since 2014.

If you’re wondering how you could possibly meet your fate taking a selfie, well here’s how. The majority of deaths occurred with people falling from a height<\/strong>, closely followed by drowning.<\/p>\n

Rather surprisingly, or maybe not, two people have died by\u00a0grenade while taking a selfie!<\/p>\n
