It’s been a good week for iOS app releases, with three new favourites joining the coveting first screen on my iPhone. Take a look at the newcomers \u2013 including a fun party game, an essential app for musicians and a pretty RSS reader for power users.<\/p>\n

Music Memo<\/h2>\n

Apple\u2019s latest iPhone app is called Music Memos. It\u2019s kind of a hybrid of Voice Memos and GarageBand, letting you quickly record music in a single take. After you\u2019re done, you can add some simple backing tracks or send the tune to GarageBand for further work. If no further work is required, you can also share it straight to SoundCloud or YouTube. The app is free, so give it a try if you\u2019re at all musically inclined.<\/p>\n

Exploding Kittens<\/h2>\n

Exploding Kittens is a cute kitten version of Russian Roulette, played with a deck of cards illustrated by online comic artist Matthew Inman, aka The Oatmeal. Now there\u2019s an app version too. It\u2019s a bit pricy \u2014 \u00a31.50 per person \u2014 but it\u2019s a faithful representation of the physical game, complete with local-only multiplayer. If you like the game and don\u2019t want to carry the cards with you everywhere, this is a nice substitute.<\/p>\n

Fiery Feeds<\/h2>\n

Fiery Feeds is an RSS reader, another in a long line of apps and services created when Google Reader was out to pasture. The app boasts impressive design, good customisability and supports a wider range of Google Reader replacement services than most (including my current favourite Inoreader). Whether you\u2019re a long-time RSS fan or you\u2019re sick of checking the same bookmarks every day, Fiery Feeds is a nice choice.<\/p>\n

Starbucks<\/h2>\n

Here\u2019s a bonus entry: Starbucks added \u2018Mobile Order & Pay\u2019 to their iOS and Android apps in the UK this week. As the name suggests, you can choose your drink before you get to the store, then pick it up when it\u2019s ready, skipping the queue. It\u2019s a nice reward for Starbucks fans, although it\u2019s only supported in around 300 locations across the UK so far.<\/p>\n
