The review is broadly positive, but reviewer Vlad Savov does mention one big weakness: the glass back of the phone. It sure looks nice, but it&#8217;s also easily scratched or cracked; he ended up with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2015\/10\/8\/9480135\/sony-xperia-z5-broken-glass-back\">long crack<\/a>\u00a0not by dropping it from a great height, but just &#8220;an incautious plopping of the phone on my bedside table.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He continues (emphasis ours):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>What worries me more, though, is the outpouring of stories from current and former Xperia Z owners saying that they\u2019ve had similar problems. Cracked or shattered glass backs are actually a recurring issue with Sony\u2019s devices, and the only reason we haven\u2019t heard more about them, I imagine, is the relatively low sales volume of these handsets and their absence from the most demanding US market&#8230; <strong>A case or some other protective measure would seem advisable for future Xperia Z5 owners.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you are picking up an Xperia Z5 or Z5 Compact, then you may want to check out our range of cases via the links below.
