The new Star Wars movie is still months from release, but already there’s one little droid that’s captured the public imagination: the adorable, rolling BB-8. Now, you can pick up a BB-8 of your very own thanks to the clever minds at Sphero.<\/p>\n

Just like the film version, BB-8 rolls around while keeping his head at the top of his body effortlessly. BB-8 can be controlled from a smartphone or tablet, letting you guide the drone across the galaxy for hours of fun. The droid learns and evolves as you interact with him, keeping you and your family entertained as he finds new tricks. He comes with autonomous behaviours, and can listen and even respond to your voice. You’ll quickly fall in love with such a charming droid. BB-8 can also send and receive virtual holographic messages, just like his robotic predecessor R2-D2.<\/p>\n

BB-8 wirelessly recharges on a themed base, and can last for about one hour of constant use before needing a refill. He can be controlled from about 30 metres away using Bluetooth, letting you pilot him around the house from your Android or iOS device.<\/p>\n
