Recently MHL 3.0 was announced, and the headline feature was 4K support. That means you can mirror onto a 4K HDTV or monitor, letting you watch films in the highest available resolution and with 7.1 surround sound too. Today, we’re happy to announce that our first third-party MHL 3.0 adapter is in stock, at a new low price.

The Lindy MHL 3.0 adapter enjoys a simple but attractive construction, with a micro USB plug on one end, and HDMI / micro USB on the other. Just connect one end to your Android smartphone or tablet, and an HDMI cable between the adapter and your TV. That’s all you need to get started, but you also have the option to connect a micro USB cable to charge your device while it’s connected.

Of course, you’re not always going to have access to a 4K TV, monitor or projector. Thankfully, the Lindy MHL 3.0 adapter is backwards compatible with MHL 1.0 and 2.0, letting you operate at lower resolutions like 1920 x 1080p or 1280 x 720p.

The Lindy MHL 3.0 adapter is available now from Mobile Fun.
