4. VSCO Cam<\/h3>\n

VSCO Cam is all about the filters, baby. Seriously, there are more filters here than you can shake a stick at, with the vast majority being sold for a couple of a quid per pack. If you’re willing to invest a bit of cash, you’ll\u00a0end up with a formidable arsenal suited for any photo.\u00a0There are some basic image editing tools included here too, so you don’t have to open another app to adjust brightness, crop or perform other simple\u00a0tasks.<\/p>\n

3. Adobe Lightroom mobile<\/h3>\n

Adobe Lightroom is an essential app for photographers on the desktop, and it’s a worthwhile app for mobile users too. It’s a bit more professional than its peers, but it also takes a little longer to get in gear – photos take some time to import, and even different effect buttons need to load a bit before being activated. Still, once everything is prepared you’ll find powerful tools for creating professional photos, with full undo\/redo support, nice filters and the ability to change white balance, temperature, exposure and more.<\/p>\n

2. Snapseed<\/h3>\n

Snapseed was picked up by Google a few years back, making it the de facto photo editor of choice on Android. Snapseed provides a large number of tools for fixing common photo issues, a reasonable number of filters and a system called Stacks that lets you go back and edit or remove filters. It’s a polished package, and for the low cost of nothing, it’s well worth the money.<\/p>\n

1. Photo Editor by Aviary<\/h3>\n

Aviary was bought out by Adobe last autumn, but the app remains one of the best photo editing apps on Android. By signing in with an Adobe ID (or making one for free), you get a dozen or so additional effects and filter, bringing the official total to Way Too Many, Almost. The interface in Aviary is one of the cleanest I’ve seen, with easy gestures for undo\/redo and adjusting effect intensity. All in all, a worthy winner!<\/p>\n
