You will need to use a nano SIM card for your One M9.<\/p>\n

Nano SIM is the smallest out of the three commonly used SIM card sizes, barely larger than the metal contacts on the card. You can see these SIMs – mini, micro and nano – in the graphic created by Justin Ormont for Wikipedia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

HTC\u00a0recommend<\/a>\u00a0that you\u00a0do not<\/strong>\u00a0cut down a mini or micro SIM card to a nano SIM size, as the nano SIM is actually smaller in every dimension – including depth.\u00a0A cut nano SIM may therefore get jammed in your One M9’s SIM slot.\u00a0If you’re worried about this happening, order a new nano SIM from your mobile operator or the retail store that you purchased the phone.<\/p>\n

Conversely, I’ve successfully used a cut nano SIM without suffering any inconvenience. If you’d rather go this route, then you can pick up a\u00a0nano SIM cutter tool<\/a>\u00a0from Mobile Fun… although it will mean you’ll need to use a\u00a0nano SIM adapter<\/a>\u00a0if you put your SIM back into a micro SIM phone.<\/p>\n
