The second-generation Moto G was announced last week, and we’ve already added the phone to our virtual shelves. The phone will be available in both 8 and 16GB varieties, and remains at the low price that made its predecessor so popular. The SIM-free Motorola Moto G<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The second-gen Motorola Moto G (henceforth the Moto G) is a surprisingly good phone for the money. The new Moto G has a 5-inch 720p screen, dual front-facing speakers and a microSD card slot to add additional storage.<\/p>\n

Inside, there’s a reasonably powerful Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, backed with 1GB RAM and 8 or 16GB of internal storage. The camera has also seen an improvement, with the front-facer at 2MP and the rear camera at 8MP with LED flash. With Android 4.4 KitKat on board and a quick upgrade to Android L, the phone is impressive on the software front too.<\/p>\n
