With the arrival of the iPhone 6 on the horizon, speculation over its size and design is rife. We\u2019ve been sent a couple of iPhone 6 cases from our in-the-know suppliers, so we thought we\u2019d put them up to the iPhone 5S to see how the size compares.<\/p>\n

The two cases we\u2019ve received are the ArmourDillo Hybrid Protective case, and the Moshi SenseCover, both having proved popular with previous devices. The ArmourDillo case offers more rugged, two-layered protection against drops and bumps, while the Moshi SenseCover is a more stylish case featuring a touch sensitive cover allowing you to check the time and even answer calls, without having to open the cover.<\/p>\n

We put an iPhone 5S in the two cases, and the gaps in both support the rumours that the iPhone 6 will sport a 4.7\u201d screen, a 0.7\u201d increase from the 5S. This is no real surprise after Apple acknowledged that consumers want larger screens, and given that 5\u201d screens are seemingly now standard among competing flagships.<\/p>\n

The slots for the camera on both cases suggest that this will remain in its familiar top left position on the back of the phone. However, it would appear Apple are now moving to a side-mounted power button, as opposed to the one on the top of the device that they have adopted for all previous iPhone models. The power button will be on the right hand side, with volume controls remaining on the left. \u00a0This would make the button placement familiar to those coming from an Android device, and will arguably make the device easier for one-handed operation.<\/p>\n
