Samsung, Sony and HTC have all released their first flagship phones of 2014, but one major manufacturer is yet to move: LG. Their new G3 flagship is expected to eclipse its earlier rivals with a larger, higher resolution display, better internals and a bigger battery. The LG G3 is coming soon to Mobile Fun, sim-free and unlocked, so let’s take a look at what we know so far!<\/p>\n

A big, bold display<\/strong><\/p>\n

The smartphone display standard stopped at five inches and 1080p resolution for a while, but now it’s on the increase again. The next flagship standard seems to be a 5.5-inch display with a monstrous 2560 x 1440 resolution; that’s 77% more pixels. This makes for a beautifully crisp screen for text and images alike. Thanks to the LG G3’s tiny screen bezels, the frame of the phone isn’t that much bigger than the Galaxy S5 and other 5-inch phones either.<\/p>\n

Clever, inside and out<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The high resolution display and minimal bezels work in concert with the rear-mounted buttons on the G3. These are easy to grasp using either hand, and offer a simple way of using your phone one-handed without needing to stretch.<\/p>\n

Inside the phone is just as clever, and packed with the latest technologies. You can expect blistering performance from the Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, with 2 GB of RAM on the 16 GB version and 3 GB of RAM on the 32 GB model. 4G LTE internet connectivity on board allows for a rapid conection across the country. All of that tech requires power, but with a 3,000mAh battery on board you can expect better-than-average longevity too, whether you’re surfing the web, watching films or taking calls.<\/p>\n

UK Price and release date<\/strong><\/p>\n

The G3 is to be announced at an LG event on May 27th, so you don’t have too much longer to wait. The flagship phone will cost \u00a3550 sim-free, and be available in gold and titan grey colour schemes.<\/p>\n
