Today in an event in Abu Dhabi, Nokia unveiled three new Lumia phones and tablets, including some major firsts for the company. Below you’ll find a brief summary of each new device, as well as a link to a longer article with much more information. Nokia have done well here, so take a look!<\/p>\n

Lumia 2520<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lumia 2520 is the first Nokia tablet, and it looks just as you’d expect – a scaled up 10-inch version of one of their colourful Lumia Windows Phones. The tablet runs Windows RT 8.1, meaning it won’t run old Windows applications but it does come with Office pre-installed. The specifications are consistent with other recent Windows RT tablets, including a fast quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and a beautiful 10.1-inch 1080p screen. The Lumia 2520 will cost $499, while a dock that includes a keyboard and battery will run an extra $150. The whole packages is well designed, with the polycarbonate unibody design that’s proved popular on the Lumia handsets looking equally well suited in its new larger size. The Lumia 2520 will be available before Christmas in the UK.<\/p>\n

Lumia 1520<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lumia 1520 is another enlarged Windows Phone, with a 6-inch 1080p display. This makes it the largest Windows Phone ever, and also the first to be announced with a full HD resolution. That extra screen space unlocks a third column of live tiles, and of course also provides a roomier experience when running apps. The 1520 includes a 20 megapixel PureView camera, which should be less capable than the phenomenal 1020, but still better than any other camera on the market. The phone will come with a unique Lumia 1520 cover<\/a> that folds into a stand, like Apple’s Smart Cover. The phone will be available in yellow, red, white and black in the UK before the end of the year.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Lumia 1320<\/strong><\/p>\n

The final Lumia announced today was the Lumia 1320, a budget version of the Lumia 1520. It also comes with a six-inch screen, but this time the resolution is 720p instead of 1080p. The cameras have also been downgraded to a 5 megapixel unit on the back and a VGA camera on the front, a far cry from the PureView of the more expensive model. Finally, the phone includes a low-end Snapdragon 400 processor that still offers good performance. There aren’t any unique accessories for the Lumia 1320<\/a>, but we’ll be selling the usual array of third-party cases, chargers and all the rest. The big selling point of the 1320 is its price – it should be available for $339 sim-free, giving it one of the best screen-size-to-cost ratios ever for a Windows Phone. Like the 1520, it’ll be available in the UK by the holiday season.<\/p>\n

The Lumia 1520 looks like a strong handset to close out the end of the year, while the Lumia 2520 tablet and Lumia 1320 budget phablet offer some intriguing new possibilities in the market.<\/p>\n
