Well take a look at the Samsung HM5100 – you know it’s a serious stylus because it’s got a product number\u00a0into the thousands<\/em>.This official\u00a0Samsung<\/a>\u00a0stylus is a high-end replacement for the S Pen stylus that comes with the Galaxy Note series of tablets and smartphones, including the latest Note 10.1 tablet and Note 3 smartphones. The new stylus offers three major advantages over the existing S Pen – I’ll list them in order of awesomeness: a wider body, an integrated eraser and an integrated Bluetooth headset.<\/p>\n

So first up is that awesome Bluetooth headset functionality. Essentially the pen contains a Bluetooth transmitter, a speaker, and a microphone, allowing you to hold it up to your face to talk on the phone.\u00a0Like the similarly functional stylus that comes with the Asus Padfone, having a Bluetooth headset on a stylus actually works a lot better than you’d think it would.\u00a0It may look a little foolish, but you’ll find this added functionality is definitely worthwhile when you need to take a call. If you can only carry one accessory with you, it makes to carry one that’s both a stylus and a headset, right?<\/p>\n

The next thing that sets this Samsung\u00a0stylus<\/a>\u00a0apart from the standard S Pen is its integrated eraser. This may seem like a fairly minor concern, but it’s damn useful to have an eraser only a stylus flip away – after all, you can use the same muscle memory you’ve built up with years of pencil use! Of course, the end of the stylus is designed to not leave any marks on the screen.<\/p>\n

\"Samsung<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\"Samsung<\/a><\/center>The final and perhaps most genuinely useful attribute are the increased dimensions. While the S Pen is constrained by the size of the silo inside the Galaxy Notes, this Bluetooth stylus has no such restrictions. Here, Samsung engineers were able to focus on just one thing: providing the most ergonomic shape. That really comes across when you use both styli, as the Samsung HM5100 provides a much more comfortable experience, allowing you to write precisely and easily for longer.<\/p>\n
